Providence Christian College is located on a historic college campus in a quiet neighborhood of Pasadena, California. Backing up to the San Gabriel mountains, the campus is positioned only 3.5 miles from downtown Pasadena and about 15 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The 17-acre campus boasts ample classroom space, a library, a cafeteria, administrative offices, courts for tennis and basketball, and plenty of open space for student activities. The college shares this campus with our host, William Carey International University, as well as other Christian schools and mission organizations.

Classrooms and the Academic Support and Career Center
The eye-catching centerpiece to William Carey’s campus is McGavran Hall, named for the famous Christian missionary to India who was a major influence on modern missions, Donald A. McGavran. Providence classrooms fill most of the second floor of this impressive three-story structure. It has been recently remodeled with fresh repaint, new carpet, and newly installed wireless internet system. Students enjoy a clean and functional learning environment, complete with wall-sized windows looking out on the campus with mountains in the background.
As the Academic Support and Career Center is located down the hall from the classrooms, academic help and a quiet study area are just a short walk away. Open until midnight, the ASCC is the place for late night study groups and for a workspace away from distractions.
Administrative and Faculty Offices
To the west of the towering McGavran Hall sits Speer Hall, where the college’s administrative offices are located. The main floor of this building is almost exclusively used by Providence staff. The offices of our academic faculty and the Registrar are together at the southernmost end of this building for easy access to faculty support all in one location. The northern wing houses all other administrative services, including Admissions, Operations, Student Life, Development, and the office of the President. The close working environment helps Providence maintain its characteristic family atmosphere.
Cafeteria, Chapel & Internet Café
The Pierce building is the most versatile and commonly-used facility on campus. It is centrally located immediately to the south of Speer Hall. The upper floor houses the cafeteria, which is complete with outdoor balcony seating. Students here share meals with Providence staff and faculty, along with the extended community of William Carey?s other residents and organizations.
Below the cafeteria, there is a large room with a stage where PCC will be holding chapel twice a week. Abutting the chapel, William Carey’s internet cafe provides snacks and free wireless internet in a comfortable lounge setting open to the whole community.
Library
The Latourette Library stands tall at the north end of the campus. One large room of the second floor houses Providence’s book collection and research materials. Against the walls, there are several study carrels and computers for exclusive use by Providence students. In addition to Providence’s own library, students will have access to William Carey’s expansive third floor collection of theological and missions-oriented materials for study.
Residential Dorms
Located at the edge of the campus to the west of the Pierce building, the Gladys Aylward Hall provides residential space for over 300 people. Providence occupies the southern wing of the building with men on the first floor and women on the second and third. Rooms consist mainly of quad-dorms, four spacious two-person rooms complete with beds, desks, and extensive storage space around an exclusive hall and bathroom. In addition to residences, Aylward provides a well-stocked weight room, a number of community rooms including Providence’s exclusive Hesed Lounge, community kitchen facilities and barbeque, mail service, and Residence Offices for any additional living concerns.
