Providence stands squarely in a long stream of Christian and Reformed liberal arts education that takes seriously both the integration of biblical truth with every academic discipline and the formation of faithful, engaged Christians. As a historian, I am particularly excited about the ways in which Providence applies the best of that Christian intellectual tradition to some of the pressing questions of our day. And you couldn’t ask for a much better place in which to do it: Los Angeles is an urban center with global influence that offers a myriad of cultural and educational resources to our faculty and students.
