Cross Country

The Sea Beggar Cross Country Program has made great strides over the past three years … dropping times and adding runners.  One thing that has remained constant is the dual commitment to competition and fun.  Coach Keri Whitaker will inspire you to an even greater love for running and push you to reach times you never thought you could achieve.

Providence’s cross country program provides a great opportunity for student-athletes to compete against some of the top teams in Southern California at a number of intercollegiate invitational meets. Training at two historic and beautifulPasadenalocations (the Rose Bowl and Eaton Canyon State Park), the athletes push themselves towards personal best times and more competitive racing.  However, Sea Beggar cross country runners also love to have fun. Southern California is filled with spectacular and scenic road races throughout the year, including fun “mud runs” that challenge individuals with muddy obstacles to climb up, over, and through.  Everyone gets covered in mud, but everyone has a blast in the process.

Prospective student-athletes, if you enjoy running and want to compete against some of the best runners in Southern California, complete the recruitment form below or send coach Whitaker an email to get on your way to college athletics.

Come to Providence and experience a Cross Country program filled with competition and fun … you will leave with a love for running that you never knew you had and one of the best (and most challenging) experiences of your life.

Coaching these teams is Coach Keri Whitaker, a local athlete with several years of coaching experience at many levels.
